Kelly has been awarded a Harry Weaver Neuroscience Scholar Award from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Dr. Harry Weaver made seminal contributions to MS research and was the Society’s Director of Research from 1966-1977. This award for junior faculty in the MS field was named in his honor and will provide Kelly with grant and salary support for five years.
Sarah Ackerman has been named a Spencer T. and Ann W. Olin Fellow! This award was made possible by a generous gift from the Olin Foundation and its purpose is to honor the top graduate students at Washington University recognized for the “past achievement and the promise of a distinguished career in the biomedical sciences.” Congratulations, Sarah!
We have received a two-year, $285,605 grant from the Missouri Spinal Cord Injury/Disease Research Program (SCIDRP) to support our studies of spinal cord myelination. Congratulations, lab!
